Rifles,

The Firearms Canada site is secure, the users on the other hand may not be. This is true for any site, even expensive pay sites where every user is vetted the possibility for misuse is not 100% eliminated.

Firearms Canada is a free service to the Canadian firearms community. Much like other free buy/sell services, we encourage you to deal locally. As much as we attempt to put safeguards in place, members are required to do their due diligence prior to exchanging goods or money.

Some simple tips are outlined on our blog: http://www.firearmscanada.com/…..more-37932

Unlike some site, Firearms Canada does not delete threads about deals gone sideways in the attempt to give a false security to its members. We strive to educate our users and encourage open dialog between our members.

Advising not to use Firearms Canada because it is a place for scammers to do their dirty work after you had an unfortunate deal is akin to saying that you won’t use emails because a Nigerian Prince swindled you. As I write this, there are 1218 ads on this site and 99% of our users have had positive results, but proper precautions by the members need to be taken.

Not meaning to insult you… but the deal seemed way too good to be true to begin with, also the scammer told me I get three days inspection, when I asked what he meant he said oh when you receive the rifle you get three days inspection period, so that means if I have any problems with the gun I can send it back to him and he'll give me full refund, and he pays shipping both ways too. Yeah right.

Dont be discouraged from using this site, when you follow the guidelines it can be a good thing. At least you didn't get ripped for the full asking price like the other guy…
