REASONS WHY C.O.D. IS NOT WISE FOR THE SELLER

When one purchases a product whether from an individual or from a store, funds must be transferred initially.

1. COD will cost an extra $7.50 and it will take Canada Post 2 weeks to a cheque for the SELLER while the BUYER would have his or her FIREARM when it arrives.

2. BUYER could refuse to accept the parcel, leavinhg Canada Post or the COURIER company to ship back to the SELLER at the SELLER'S expense. This would cost the SELLER both shipping charges.

3. When the FIREARM is in the BUYER'S name, SELLER will not have any legal claim in getting funds from the BUYER.

4. If the FIREARM is already in the BUYER'S name, the SELLER would not be able to get this transferred back to the SELLER'S name if BUYER refuses to do .

There is ALL THE RISK for the SELLER, and nothing for the BUYER.

I fully agree/concur with all above ^^^
money first and then start a transfer in buyer's name
if CFC has both parties confirmation for transfer (even if you haven't get the money) you're no longer the owner and you MUST ship the firearm to the new legal owner.

Si vis Pacem, para Bellum !

That is exactly what the CFO has stated. Once firearm is registered to the buyer and you do not ship immediately, you are now in violation of the Firearms Act, and possess the firearm illegally.

Payment must be received before the transfer is approved. If payment is not made, seller is completely out the value of the firearm and must still ship the firearm, and then pursue collecting what is owed through claims court. RCMP do not care about whether you received the funds.
